Welcome to Great Torrington weather station. We show the actual conditions here in Torrington running twenty four hours seven days a week with a live weathercam as well. Data is updated by the five minutes, hourly or daily. We are using a LaCrosse WS2310 weather station to service the instruments. Measurements of barometric pressure, outside temperature, humidity, wind direction, wind speed and rainfall. The technical details are on the 'About everything' page. The image shown on the left will show the sky conditions from either the Metar stations at Exeter Airport, Culdrose RNAS or Cardiff Airport with the locally measured data from our weather station.

This live weather camera image shows the horizon towards the North East from Torrington. This view shows farmland in the foreground and the TV tower on the horizon at Huntshaw Cross near to Huntshaw village. Any cloud formation over Exmoor twenty eight miles (45Kms) away will be visible. The TV tower is 620 feet (188m) above sea level and the structure itself 580 feet(176m). During daylight it may just be visible on the horizon. The weather camera exposure is optimised so that the sky features can be seen. This may make the foreground dark on a cloudy day. Refreshed at five minute intervals twenty four hours a day.
